Since 2019, Future Street has been working with South Dublin County Council with an initial deployment of 8 units in the Rathfarnham area. This is a game changing innovation in public waste management that not only keeps our streets cleaner but also makes waste collection more efficient and environmentally friendly.

The Expansion of Bigbelly Bins across South Dublin County Council

Since the Rathfarnham deployment, SDCC have added Tallaght to their solar bin map with the installation of 34 Smart Max stations in November 2025. Additional deployments are also planned for Rathfarnham, Clondalkin and Lucan. This is a significant step forward in modernising local waste management and keeping the streets of South Dublin clean, efficient and welcoming.

 Celebrating Community Through Design

Each Bigbelly unit in SDCC features bespoke artwork of local and cultural landmarks. With their sleek, modern design, they seamlessly blend into public spaces while delivering a high-tech solution to an age-old problem.

 Innovation for a Greener Tomorrow

These new bins across south Dublin will continue to support local sustainability goals, reduce environmental impact, and improve public spaces for everyone. By integrating technology with everyday waste management, South Dublin is setting a new standard for clean, smart, and sustainable communities.

Future Street is excited to continue this journey and expand the presence of Bigbelly bins throughout the county. Smart waste management isn’t just about bins. It’s about creating a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable environment for everyone. With Bigbelly bins, South Dublin County Council is taking a significant step in that direction.
