Meaux continues to invest in smarter, cleaner, more efficient public spaces with their latest Bigbelly installation in Place Henri IV. With almost 60 bins installed across the town, Meaux is strengthening its commitment to efficient and sustainable waste management.

Our Bigbelly smart bins are helping to keep streets clean while optimising collection operations and reducing environmental impact.

The installation includes dedicated units for both general waste and recycling, making it easier for residents and visitors to dispose of their waste responsibly. By providing clear, accessible options, the city is encouraging better everyday habits and supporting a more circular approach to waste.

A standout feature of this installation is the informative signage located at the entrance to the park. This plays an important role in educating the public – both young and old, on how the Bigbelly bins function – from the hands-free foot pedal opening system to practical guidance on correctly disposing of items such as plastic bottles and cigarette butts.

In addition, the smart wrap design on each unit clearly communicates what materials are accepted, helping to reduce contamination and further promote effective recycling practices.

Together, these elements demonstrate how thoughtful design, smart technology, and clear communication can work hand in hand to create cleaner, more sustainable public spaces.
