Kingscourt Tidy Towns partners with Kingspan Global to Promote a Cleaner, Greener Community
At Future Street, we love seeing communities thrive and we are thrilled to announce our collaboration with Kingscourt Tidy Towns and Kingspan Global to bring sustainable waste management solutions to Kingscourt. Thanks to the generous sponsorship from Kingspan, BigBelly solar compactor bins have now been installed throughout the town, marking an important step toward a cleaner and more sustainable community.
Why BigBelly Bins Matter
Like many busy towns, Kingscourt faces the familiar issues of overflowing bins, wind-blown litter, and the constant demand for collection. BigBelly bins offer a smarter solution to help tackle these issues head-on. Using solar power to compact litter, each unit can hold up to five times more waste than a standard street bin. This not only reduces the risk of overflow but also means fewer collections are needed—saving time, resources, and reducing emissions from collection vehicles.
A Step Towards A Cleaner Future
This project is about more than just waste management. It’s about what’s possible when communities, local groups and businesses come together. With Kingscourt Tidy Towns driving local pride, Kingspan supporting the project through their Planet Passionate initiative, and Future Street bringing forward innovative solutions, this partnership shows how much can be achieved with shared purpose.
The benefits go beyond capacity. By reducing visible litter and keeping streets tidier, the town’s appearance is enhanced, creating a more welcoming environment for residents, businesses, and visitors alike. It’s a small change with a big impact on local pride and community well-being.
A Community Effort
This project wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and collaboration of Richard Beswick, Ciara Crosby, Jackie Faulkner, and the entire teams at Kingspan, Kingscourt Tidy Towns and Cavan County Council. Your passion and commitment are helping Kingscourt set a shining example of sustainability in action.
Future Street is committed to delivering innovative solutions that make our communities cleaner, smarter, and more sustainable and we look forward to seeing the positive impact these bins have on the community in Kingscourt.
